Hello everyone, it is so nice to welcome you all back after the half term break.
Mrs Protheroe and Mrs Wiersma-Jones, your teachers, look forward to the sunnier months with you!
The teacher's assistants are Mrs Lewis, Mrs McGivern (Monday to Wednesday)
and Mr Hart (Thursday and Friday)
This half term we will be focusing on the topic 'Around and About'.
We will be thinking about visiting things in our local area and role playing going to the shop. Please help your child to learn coins and coin values. Help you child to count in twos, fives and tens to find totals of piles of coins worth 2p 5p and 10p.This is a very tricky concept for children so don't worry if they don't get it straight away! They will need to revisit this skill lots and be given lots of time to practise it! Recognising the coins is a very good place to start! Please sing and repeat the song uploaded below.
We will be implementing the four purposes of the new curriculum for Wales to inform our teaching.
For this half term our RE learning will be focusing on Lent.
