RHSE is part of the mission of Catholic schools to educate the whole person. It should be carried out as part of the holistic education which seeks to form as well as inform young people in preparation for adult life Humans are created in the image and likeness of God. Therefore, any teaching in a Catholic school must be rooted in the Catholic teaching of what it is to be truly human in Christ.

To support the teaching of RSHE at St John Lloyd RC Primary School we will be using the schemes of work Life to the Full and Fertile Heart which are programs based on the structure of ‘A model Catholic RSHE Curriculum’ approved by the Catholic Education Service.

This Curriculum has been highlighted as a work of good practice and is much more than a series of lessons, it is an entire platform of creative resources that will engage, inform and inspire our children with dignity for each and every pupil. It will inform pupils to make healthy choices that will benefit them throughout their lives
