Croeso i Reception/Year 1 Rhian!

We are very excited to welcome you to our class. In Reception/Year 1, children will settle into school life through engaging learning experiences that spark curiosity, and support the development of key early skills. We're really looking forward to getting to know your children and supporting them as they learn and grow this year.

Our topics this term include:

Myself 

We’ll be talking about who is in our families and creating family portraits. We’ll also be learning about our bodies, naming different body parts, and exploring how to stay healthy.

Lights Alive

An exciting topic all about light and magic! We’ll learn about fireworks, how to stay safe around them, and even create our own magical fizzy bottles.

RE: Our topic this term is “Creation and Covenant “ We will explore how God made our world and how we can care for it.

Our virtues are: Eloquent and Truthful.

Seesaw: You can access Seesaw at home for weekly homework activities that support your child’s learning in class. You’ll also find photos and updates about what your child has been learning. If you lose your sign-in code, please don’t hesitate to ask for a replacement.

Healthy Schools: Just a friendly reminder that we are a healthy school. Children should bring a healthy snack each day, except for Friday, which is our treat day.

Jumpers and Cardigans: Please ensure all clothing items are clearly labelled so they can be returned safely if misplaced.
